I'm honored to have been selected as Emily Mann's SDC Foundation Observer for the entire rehearsal and preview process of Albee's haunting play, inhabited by a phenomenal cast.

February 18-March 3, 2013

This two week festival showcases new work by national, local, and student playwrights. I look forward to great work. I'll direct a short reading: a scene from A. Zell Williams' Grillo's All-American. My students will also be presenting their original, class-created short play.

A new play TBA...!

Write Now! at Childsplay

This will be my third year participating in 10 days of intensive new play development work on one of the scripts selected for this biannual festival, previously known as the Bonderman Playwriting for Youth Symposium. Can't wait to learn about this year's script and artistic team.

Postponed to April -- date TBA!
Bristol Riverside Theatre
Part of the America Rising reading series

More details to follow soon; we'll now be enjoying a longer workshop in April instead of a single day of rehearsal and reading in February. I find this play to be so personal and poignant about adult choices, careers, and hearts.

Spring 2013
Bristol Riverside Theatre

Not only will I be in rehearsal alongside Director Susan D. Atkinson and a large company of professional and community actors who will create a full town on the BRT stage, I'll also be helping to develop artistic engagement projects throughout the season. The potential for insightful and critical discussion around timely themes is invigorating, and I'm beyond honored to be on board for this collaboration.

Stay tuned for programming updates throughout the season.

I'm looking forward to meeting new students and to sharing conversations surrounding Stars of David, The Mountaintop and Seminar. Additionally, PTC is hosting a brand-new fellowship program for early-career teaching artists this year, and it's exciting to meet the inaugural class of fellows as well. This season I'll also be facilitating Thursday night Meet-the-Artist discussions for the four productions.

I can't wait to find out what classroom residency I'll be assigned to work with this year; I was so impressed with the writing my sixth, seventh and eighth students shared last spring.
